HDPE film stands for High-Density Polyethylene. Like LDPE, it has a naturally milky-white appearance and, depending on its density, can be translucent or semi-opaque. It also offers excellent impact strength and chemical resistance, with good resistance to stress cracking, but has relatively poor gas barrier properties. Similar to LDPE, it provides good moisture resistance.
Structure: It has a very low degree of branching and strong intermolecular forces.

- Melting point: The average melting point is 248 to 356°F.
