PU foam is a common material in daily life and industrial production. This is a foam plastic, made up mainly of two types of liquids including Polyol and a mixture of substances such as Polymethylene, Polyphynyl, Isocyanate.

When the above ingredients are mixed together, they will create chemical reactions, the reaction speed depends on each type. Accordingly, the fast response type will last about 5 – 6 seconds, while the slow response type can last from 30 – 40 seconds or longer. After this process is completed, PU foam material will be obtained.

PU foam is commonly used in life thanks to the following outstanding properties:

– PU can create soft and hard, semi-hard or elastic foams.

– PU can be made into large blocks or poured into molds of different shapes and sizes.

– Does not cause irritation to most types of allergies.

– This material has no odor, thanks to the air bubble structure, PU reduces the possibility of moss or mold appearing.

– Foam does not make noise, does not collect dust, is difficult to break or stick.

– Foam with high hardness will be more durable and elastic, but it is also more expensive.

– PU is used to cover and prevent scratches on plastic products, wooden furniture, handicrafts,…

– Use as a bag to carry computers, electronic items,…

– Hard PU is used for partitions, insulation chambers (cold insulation chambers), construction panels, etc.

– Soft PU is used to produce bed cushions, sofas, saddles, seats, baby toys,…
